About DHA licensing exam
Dubai Health Authority licenses healthcare professionals who want to practise in the Emirate of Dubai. Many titles sit a computer-based test run by Prometric; titles that the assessment guide does not list are assessed orally. The result released in the Sheryan account is pass or fail. The numeric score is not shared.
This guide's practice material is the physician general practice exam only (guide code GEN5331). The September 2026 computer-based testing guide gives that exam as 150 multiple-choice questions, a duration of 3 hours, a fee of USD 280 and a pass score of 60%. The same guide's duration includes registration, the process introduction and the exam content. Other physician titles, dentists, nurses and midwives, allied health professions, and traditional, complementary and integrative medicine practitioners have their own exams, with different lengths and pass scores, or an oral assessment. Those are not mocked here.
The general practice coverage list is chronic disease; acute and common medical problems; paediatrics; women's health; emergencies; common surgical problems; psychiatry; eye and ENT; dermatology; basic epidemiology and evidence-based medicine; family medicine concepts; and screening and periodic health examination. The guide names those areas and does not publish how many questions fall in each, or a weight for each domain. The assessment manual says Dubai Health Authority calculates the result from the number of correct answers and the weighting of each domain.
Booking starts in Sheryan: an account, a DHA unique ID, then an eligibility ID, then a Prometric appointment. A passport that matches the registration is required at the centre. A learning-outcome letter from the testing provider describes strengths and weaknesses and is not the result. Pass or fail is uploaded to Sheryan, described in the manual as within two working days.
